Freekeh Fine (Green Roasted Cracked Wheat)
Freekeh is traditional Middle-Eastern green wheat which has made its way into North American cuisine due to its high nutritional value. It is now classified as a super food with a lot of benefits such as high fiber and protein content. Our traditional Freekeh is roasted, which gives it a unique smoky flavour. Freekeh has to be cooked in water three times its volume for 40 minutes. Can be eaten hot or cold. Fine Freekeh is ideal as a soup.
